Who publishes USDConverter
USDConverter is published by Yorker Media, a digital media business based in India, and built and run by its founder, Ratnesh Kumar. Guides and currency notes credited to the USDConverter Team are written by the team that runs the site, not by a single named author.
What we publish
- Conversion tools for fiat currencies and major crypto assets.
- Daily reference exchange rates, with the date of every rate shown next to it.
- Currency-pair pages with conversion tables.
- Guides on how exchange rates work, sending money abroad and paying by card abroad.
Where the numbers come from
Reference rates come from the currency-api dataset, published under a CC0 licence. We fetch it from two mirrors and use the newest dated snapshot. Every rate on the site shows the date of that snapshot and when we last checked it. If the newest snapshot is late, the page says so rather than presenting older data as current. Currency codes are checked against the ISO 4217 list maintained by SIX.
A reference rate is not a transaction quote. Banks, card issuers and money-transfer providers add their own margins and fees, so always confirm the final amount with the provider before you send or pay.
How guides and currency notes are written
- They are researched from primary sources: central banks, the IMF, the World Bank and the BIS, and the published rules of card networks and providers.
- Every figure is attributed to its source, with the date we read it. Each guide lists its sources and the date it was last reviewed.
- They are drafted by the USDConverter Team with the help of AI writing tools, and checked against the sources they cite before they are published. We do not publish a figure without a source.
Independence
The site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Advertisers do not choose, review or pay for what we publish, and no one can pay to change a rate, a conversion or what a page says. Our disclosure explains how the site is paid for.
Corrections
If you find an error, tell us through the contact page or the feedback form. We correct verified errors. When a guide is corrected, its “last reviewed” date changes and a short note says what changed.
