Live Cryptocurrency Prices
About Our Crypto Converter
Our cryptocurrency converter uses live prices from the CoinGecko API to provide real-time conversions between 16 major cryptocurrencies and 10 fiat currencies. Prices update each time you visit the page, ensuring you always see the most current market rates.
Unlike centralized exchanges which add a spread to their prices, our converter shows the actual market price (the mid-market rate between the best buy and sell offers across major exchanges). This lets you see the true value of your crypto holdings and compare against the rates offered by exchanges and P2P platforms.
How Cryptocurrency Prices Work
Cryptocurrency prices are determined by supply and demand on exchanges worldwide. Unlike fiat currencies which have a single mid-market rate, crypto prices can vary slightly between exchanges (called "arbitrage spreads"). The prices shown on our converter are aggregated from multiple major exchanges including Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, and others.
Crypto markets operate 24/7, unlike traditional forex markets which close on weekends. This means crypto prices can change dramatically at any time, including weekends and holidays. The 24-hour change percentage shown for each cryptocurrency reflects the price movement over the last 24 hours of continuous trading.
Stablecoins: The Bridge Between Crypto and Fiat
Stablecoins like USDT (Tether) and USDC (USD Coin) are cryptocurrencies pegged to the US dollar. They maintain a value of approximately $1.00 and serve as the bridge between traditional finance and the crypto ecosystem. Stablecoins are widely used for international remittances, cross-border payments, and as a safe haven during crypto market volatility.
Sending $10,000 via USDC on the Solana network costs less than $0.01 in fees and settles in under 30 seconds — making stablecoins one of the cheapest and fastest methods for international money transfers available today.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these live crypto prices?
Yes, prices are fetched from CoinGecko's API, which aggregates data from hundreds of exchanges. Prices are current as of page load.
Why is the price different on my exchange?
Individual exchanges may show slightly different prices due to their own order books, fees, and spread. Our prices reflect the aggregated mid-market rate across all major exchanges.
Can I convert crypto to crypto?
Our converter focuses on crypto-to-fiat conversions. For crypto-to-crypto, you can use the USD value as an intermediary: convert your crypto to USD, then to the target crypto.
